Joan Rogers Kamps Bursary

Joan Rogers Kamps was the much-loved and respected secretary who "trained" three general secretaries. Her no-nonsense, unaffected approach to the daily problems of the Association communicated the confidence that all would be well. She was named an Honorary Member of the Association at AGM '97.

A maximum bursary of $1,000 may be awarded to an individual member. Members currently in the pre-degree categories who are taking undergraduate courses shall be given priority as applicants. Members who wish to pursue post-graduate studies or professional development activities as lifelong learning shall also be eligible for a bursary.

Application Criteria

  • Applicants must be a statutory or voluntary member in good standing in the Association
  • Applications must be submitted by May 1st providing details of the proposed courses and costs
  • Bursaries are awarded in June of each year for studies taken from the summer session of that calendar year through to June 30th of the following calendar year
