The Joys and Challenges of Catholic Education: Retreats for Catholic Teachers
OECTA’s Professional Development is pleased to offer faith-based retreats based on the theme: The Joys and Challenges of Catholic Education. This spiritually enriching program, located at beautiful Catholic retreat centres, will facilitate invitational sharing, faith-formation activities, time in nature, breaking bread, and community development for OECTA leaders in faith formation and spiritual development. To express interest in attending, please fill in this form.
The ideal retreatant is an OECTA member who:
- Is in a leadership position related to faith formation/religious education.
- Has worked at the intersection of faith and equity and wants to engage in honest, respectful conversations at this intersection.
- Is interested in spiritual reflection as a means of personal growth.
Selection Process
- Any member who is interested in participating in this retreat is asked to fill out this form by January 15th, 2027.
- Provincial Office will collate this information and send it to local units along with selection criteria.
- Local units select their delegate(s) plus an alternate(s) and submits names to Provincial Office.
- Provincial Office will send out a registration link to selected members.
Space is extremely limited for these retreats. Please refer to the chart below for the dates/locations per unit.

The expression of interest form will open November 1st 2027. Space is limited. The expression of interest form will close January 15th, 2027. Selected retreatants will be notified thereafter.
