Catholic Education Week 2025: “Pilgrims of Hope”

“Catholic Education Week is an invitation to pause and reflect on the mission and impact of Ontario’s world-class publicly funded Catholic education system. Throughout this week, we join Catholic school communities across the province in celebrating the values, traditions, and collective work that define our shared vocation.

The 2025 theme, “Pilgrims of Hope,” is inspired by this year’s Jubilee Year of Hope and Pope Francis’ invitation to embark on a spiritual journey grounded in faith, compassion, and renewal. This is what Catholic teachers, and all those who work within our schools, inspire each day – you model compassion, dignity, and resilience. Through your example, you help form communities rooted in justice, equity, and love.

Catholic Education Week is a time to celebrate our schools, our students, and our broader communities. It is also an opportunity to recognize the profound contributions of publicly funded Catholic education and its vital role in promoting lifelong learning.
