Frontier College
Frontier College works in communities across Canada to provide literacy support to the people who need it most. They provide programming directly to individuals and help community groups set up and maintain programs, including reading circles and homework clubs.
Indigenous Education Strategy
Ontario’s Indigenous Education Strategy has been designed to improve opportunities for First Nation, Métis, and Inuit students, to increase the knowledge and awareness of all students about Indigenous histories, cultures, and perspectives.

The Government of Canada has produced a reading list of great books that explore a variety of Indigenous histories and topics. The resources are categorized by age and source type, and many include easy-to-read summaries.
Indspire
Indspire’s K-12 Institute connects educators of Indigenous students with programs, resources, information, tools, and a Professional Learning Community to improve educational outcomes and increase high school completion rates.
Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami (ITK)
Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami (ITK) is the national Inuit organization in Canada, representing four Inuit regions – Nunatsiavut (Labrador), Nunavik (northern Quebec), Nunavut, and the Inuvialuit Settlement Region in the Northwest Territories.
Métis National Council

News, events, issues, and policy directives from the organization that represents Canada’s Métis Nation. Also includes the Métis Nation Self-Determination Gateway, which is an online information portal/website that focuses on five specific aspects of the Métis Nation self-determination: political development; social development; economic development; cultural development; and meeting the global challenge of climate change.

Native Women’s Association of Canada
The NWAC is a national Indigenous organization representing the political voice of Indigenous women, girls, and gender diverse people in Canada, inclusive of First Nations on- and off-reserve, status and non-status, disenfranchised, Métis, and Inuit. The NWAC website contains news, research, data, and reports.
