Second Vice-President - Anthony Rocchio

Second

Anthony Rocchio is serving his first term as Second Vice-President on the Provincial Executive. He served as a Councillor from 2015 to 2018 and as Third Vice-President from 2018 to 2021.

He began his teaching career as an elementary teacher with the Sudbury Catholic District School Board in 1999, after completing his Bachelor of Education at the University of Strathclyde, Scotland.

Anthony brings to the Second Vice-President position a variety of perspectives from his career, from his time as classroom teacher, to his roles as co-ordinator of the Gifted Education Program, English Language Learner Lead, and Special Education Resource Teacher. He is keenly aware of the challenges and obstacles students face to meet success, and works diligently to advocate for students, and to build relationships between home and school. Anthony is also a strong advocate for teachers and publicly funded education in general. He has served at the Sudbury Elementary Unit for many years, as Councillor, Treasurer, First Vice-President, and Chief Negotiator.

Anthony is a lifelong learner and an avid reader. He enjoys travelling and spending time with family.
